weddings, sickies and more...

My little brother got married the day after thanksgiving. It was a beautiful wedding and I had the privilege of making their cake. Holger made the actual cakes and I decorated. We started early and got finished just in time for the reception. There was a lot of detail work in it and my hand couldn't unclench for a couple days.

The rest of the time we've been a bunch of sickos. Maddy and I got a bad cold last week. I think she's trying to get her two year molars too and that doesn't make it any better. She is really starting to talk more and it's so much more fun. She knows all about Santa and every time she sees a picture of him or anything Christmas related she lets out a loud "ho ho ho" it's adorable.
Maddy took a piece of cake after the bride and groom cut the cake. She loved it!

Eli is getting huge! He had a doctors appointment on the second and he's 18lbs and 27.5inches long! His head circumference is 18in too. It's so funny seeing him try to lift his noggin off the ground. He also decided to get two bottom teeth last Sunday! What a big boy I have.

The past couple days I had fun making yummy treat plates for some people. I made grandpa's famous fudge and divinity and some peppermint bark, and sugar cookies. I also tried my hand at chocolate truffles. How people get those things into balls I'll never know. They turned out really awesome if I do say so myself.

Holger is done with fall term! One more to go. Tomorrow he is heading over to Boise to take the gmat test. It's the business test for grad school. After that it's the waiting game to hear back from the schools he applied it. WSU in Pullman and Gonzaga in Spokane. I'm hoping for Pullman since we already have some awesome friends there.

Now we get to get ready for Christmas! We already have our cute little tree and our apartment decorated with pretty lights. It's going to be a blast this year!
