sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.....

lately i've been having some weird insomnia issues. i don't know why i have this problem. i'm not pregnant or anything but some days it takes forever for me to fall asleep and then i get super cranky and finally when i'm so sleep deprived i crash hard and am fine for the next couple days but then the cycle starts all over again. i guess i need to start taking melatonin once in a while because when i'm grumpy i'm not pleasant at all to be around but who isn't?

Okay, so I'm not sure if this will help at all, but it was the only thing that worked for me. I had the same problem falling asleep. For me it was because I couldn't turn my mind off. It was just running a mile a minute. I tried everything besides asking the doctor for a prescription. Finally I found that I could shut my mind up if I got out of bed and wrote in either a journal, or if my thoughts weren't journal worthy on a piece of paper what I was thinking about. After about 10-30 minutes I'd try to go back to sleep and Bingo! it totally worked. Don't know if that's your problem (mind not turning off) or if this will even help you... everyone is so different, but I just thought I would share! My mom swears by melatonin so you might want to give it a try, too! Good luck! I know just how miserable that can be (as your husband snores for hours next to you!)

Oh Brit...I'm sur eI'm more cranky than you, and I actually GET sleep...well....GOT sleep, now that we have a little one to keep me up. :) Cant wait to see you!
