Madelyn Rene' is here!

Madelyn was born on January 10, 2008 at 11:03 AM. She was 6 pounds 2 ounces and 18.5inches long! My labor went really fast. At 5 in the morning I started having contractions but didn't think anything of them because they felt like what I had been having all month. Then I had a surprise at 6:55 of a plop and gush. I thought I peed my pants. I went to the bathroom but nope it was my water breaking! After that my contractions were coming really regularly. I woke up Holger, we got all our stuff together and went up to the hospital at about 7:30. They checked me and I was already a 5! An our later I was a 6, and then I got my epi about 9 and was a good 7cm. A half our later I was an 8 and then at ten am I was ready to push. I pushed for about an hour and then she ploped out!

I'm feeling really good. I've alway recovered really quickly. Madelyn needed to be on oxygen for most of the day since she was still 4 weeks early. She is eating really well and doesn't need the oxygen anymore. Hopefully we will get to go home Sunday. She is adorable and we LOVE HER!!
